As California gives Sen. Rod Wright’s proposed online poker legislation a hearing, not everyone is cheering, and we don’t mean just the Indian tribes who have already gone on the record as naysayers. Some pundits are speculating that (if approved) the legislation would effectively criminalize all online poker activity that is not sanctioned by the state, and thus remove the legal ‘grey area’ previously enjoyed in the state by all forms of online poker.
