Macau Business reports that Macau casinos will be allowed to start operations again at midnight, February 20 as it looks like the worst part about the coronavirus scare has passed. The special administrative region, satisfied that they have done enough to stop the spread of the virus, is now gearing up to return to a sense of normalcy. However, it won’t be business as usual as all workers and visitors will be required to wear face masks and new safety measures will be introduced, such as adding additional space between gaming tables. This is great news for the casino concessionaires of Macau and while gross gaming revenue (GGR) won’t likely be anything like it was last year, some GGR is better than none.
