Sweden’s Bonnier Gaming has confirmed it will apply for a license in the soon-to-be-regulated Danish online gambling industry. According to Gaming Intelligence, the news was verified ahead of the Danish Gambling Authority making its own announcement in December. The first operators to gain approval are expected to go live on January 1. Bonnier was formed back on 2006 operates skill and casual gaming and online lotteries.
The Gambling Commission has appointed Brian Pomeroy as chair of the independent Responsible Gambling Strategy Board (RGSB). The group issues advice to both the Commission and Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) on certain components of the national responsible gambling strategy. Until March 2013, Pomeroy will develop new arrangements in relation to research, education and treatment components of the strategy. His work will be alongside Deputy Chair Prof. David Miers. The RGSB was established in 2008 and Pomeroy becomes its second chair after Baroness Neuberger.
