Social gaming has been around for enough time now that a lot of the big players are getting their acts together and taking the plunge. This was typified by bwin.party going social-crazy by spending the rainy-day-fund on a social gaming firm last week. That means one thing…time for a poll!
We asked readers which of the six firms we listed below had the best social strategy. The results are now in, with the ascending order as follows.
In sixth…with the booby prize…PKR with 6 percent.
Fourth place was shared by Playtech and MGM with 11 percent.
The team of International Game Technology and Double Down Casino took 14 percent for the bronze medal
Silver was a close run thing and goes to the big spenders over at bwin.party with 25 percent.
The social gaming industry’s number one – according to readers of CalvinAyre.com – is Betfair with 30 percent. How did they manage to garner the most votes though?
The company has been one of those at the forefront of staying social with their players for quite some time and you only have to take a look at their Facebook page to find out why. It’s constantly updated with fun features and they recently released their Facebook tailored offering for the European Championship starting this Friday. The Euro Team Selector gives fans the chance to win a number of different prizes, including iPads, should they be able to pick the most correct starting line ups across the tournament. There are also extra points on offer if you select the first goalscorer and players to be carded.
Betfair also use Twitter to their advantage with a number of accounts keeping you abreast of what is happening with the business. Whether it’s licensing decisions, odds changing or the enigma that is the Betfair Poker account you’ll always be both entertainment and well informed.
Another week done. Another poll over. The next one that takes on a poker theme as that side of the industry celebrates birthday, Christmas, thanksgiving and the Queen’s Jubilee all in one with the World Series of Poker in Vegas. Forget the WSOP for one second though. What about the rest of us paupers?
We know that not everyone can afford the plane fare or get the time off from the wife so we wanted to canvas opinion on all the other tournaments that exist. Our list has the top seven apart from the WSOP, which includes the WSOPE and WSOPC, and we’re asking you guys to indicate the one you feel is the best. If your selection isn’t there then click other and let us know why it should be on the list.
Whether it’s the glitz and glamour of the EPT or the sun and sand of the Punta Cana Poker Classic that turns you on, make sure you let us know and check back next week for the winner.
