His latest success came in a game of multi-tabling heads-up PLO, during which he took his opponent to the cleaners for a sweet $175,000 over a mammoth 3,500 hands.
His opponent Scott Palmer, known online as urnotindangr, was at one stage down $240,000 but brought the total back to a more respectable number, however, it will still be rather hard to take for the challenger.
This follows Isildur1 losing the first edition of the PokerStars SuperStar Challenge to Isaac “philivey2694” Haxton, and today also marked the day that the next challenger has been revealed.
Not one to stay in the shadows for very long, Tony G will be the next person to take on the Swedish enigma in his newly constructed UFC-style PokerStars sponsored poker octagon. Mr G has put up the $150,000 bounty and will take to his corner to battle it out over 2,500 hands of high stakes NL and PLO with stakes of $50/$100.
The action gets underway this Sunday (2nd January) at 4pm on the PokerStars clock, and Tony G will be hoping he’s more successful than he has been in the past few weeks on eBay.
