Everyone from Tony G to, err, Tony G coveted Peter Eastgate’s 2008 WSOP Bracelet. When he predicted that it would cost him around $17,500, Tony G wasn’t expecting the kind of competition that he would be met with. Eastgate’s bracelet ending up going for $147,500, the best part of it all being that it was all in honour of charity Unicef.
Now whilst the bidder remains anonymous it’s hard to decide what would be the funnier outcome. If Tony G did end up spending more than eight times his limit, or if his dog Zasko will now be without a beloved bracelet/dog collar combo. Tony G’s blog is likely to tell us all within the coming hours.
The biggest loser in all this may well be Paul “Eskimo” Clark. Despite the fact that his 1999 bracelet looks a poor imitation of the 2008 version, the market is now almost $150k down. We wish the Eskimo luck though.
