This is entertaining and colorful and all, but Taylor still hasn’t addressed the point raised by our own Dan Taylor (no relation), namely, why was Douglas Taylor so confident his horse would win that he would risk not just the amount of the wager, but also all the costs involved in hiring the taxis, timepieces and manpower necessary to place those wagers?
