The Story

Embattled Cherry AB CEO Anders Holmgren was arrested by Swedish authorities over allegations that he has been involved in insider trading.

Holmgren accused of buying shares worth SEK12m ($1.37m).

According to investigators, Cherry AB issued a profit warning in November 2017 due to problems pertaining to the integration of its ComeOn asset. Then last month, the company announced that it was able to beat the revenue expectations, but it turned out that Cherry AB bought company shares three weeks before it announced its earnings for Q1 2018, investigators said.

The company announced that it will cooperate with the Economic Crime Authority in the investigation and has appointed Gunnar Lind as its acting CEO.
