The 2011 International Association of Gaming Regulators’ Conference and Business Meeting will be on October 23 – 27, 2011 in Cape Town, South Africa.

The International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR) consists of representatives from gaming regulatory organizations throughout the world. Their mission is to advance the effectiveness and efficiency of gaming regulation. The IAGR provides a forum for gaming regulators from around the world to meet and exchange views and information. They discuss policy issues among their members and with representatives of the international gaming industry.

It encourages cooperation between gaming regulators in the performance of their official duties. It creates a central point of contact for inquiries from governments, gaming regulatory agencies and personnel and representatives of the international gaming industry.

The IAGR holds its annual conference every fall in conjunction with IAGA. For the first time in October 2000, the organization adopted written Rules of Procedures to govern its expanding and diverse membership.

The conference in Cape Town will discuss topics such as technological developments and challenges in internet gambling, best practices on testing and certification of gambling equipment, player pre-commitment on gaming machines and the impact of new technology and social media to problem gambling.

The Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) will offer a complementary hotel service to the IAGR conference delegates. To view the hotel rates, click here.
