The million-dollar dog takes center stage at LAC 2018

How much are you willing to spend on your pet?

Matt Beswick, co-founder of UK digital agency Aira, once spent a cool $1 million on his dog. And it’s a story that he will recount at the London Affiliate Conference and Financial Partners Expo 2018.

But make no mistake, Beswick’s love for his dog is not the focal point of his talk. The Aira executive is also giving some actionable insights into how to make social media advertising—combined with other channels—really work.

Beswick, who heads up with acquisition side of the business, is a self-confessed geek and started life in digital marketing when he developed a Facebook game that, at the time, was in the top 10 most popular on the platform and one of the first to earn over $1,000 a day in affiliate revenue. Over the last eight years, the bourbon-loving digital marketing maven has run paid social campaigns that range from spending just a few pounds, all the way up to huge campaigns.

Meanwhile, Andor Palau will discuss how to crawl, index and rank in the mobile-first age.

Given that Google is changing faster than ever, switching to a mobile-first SEO approach will undoubtedly have a massive impact on building long-lasting on-page SEO strategies. Palau will talk about actionable tips and in-depth insights on changes and improvements necessary to dominate SEO in 2018 and beyond.

Palau currently heads the SEO team at Berlin-based performance marketing agency Peak Ace AG, where he’s responsible for all national and international SEO campaigns and clients. With more than eight years of experience in online marketing, his core expertise is technical SEO, covering topics such as crawlability, indexation management and site structure optimization.

Before Andor took over the SEO Consulting division of Peak Ace AG in 2014, he worked as in-house SEO for of one of the top 3 German comparison sites for electricity, gas, cars, internet, insurance & finance and was also a freelance consultant for some companies.

Aside from the two-day conference program, the London Affiliate Conference 2018 will give participants the opportunity to network with over 5,000 delegates—3,500 of which are affiliates—in an easy-going environment.

LAC 2018 will take place over four days at the ExCeL London from Feb. 7-10, 2018.
