Genius Sports to drive commercial returns from FAW’s data in the media and regulated betting sectors

Football Association of Wales forms official data partnership with Genius Sports(UNITED KINGDOM, London – 28 September, 2017) Genius Sports, the global leader in sports data technology, commercialisation and distribution services, has formed a partnership with The Football Association of Wales (FAW) to maximise the commercial value of the governing body’s official data.

Under the terms of the agreement, Genius Sports’ network of highly trained, accredited statisticians will collect real-time data from pitchside at a wide range of competitions including the JD Welsh Premier League, Orchard Welsh Premier Women’s League and the JD Welsh Cup.

The FAW has granted Genius Sports the non-exclusive, worldwide commercialisation rights for this data within the media and regulated betting sectors.

By harnessing Genius Sports’ marketing leading collection and commercialisation technologies, this new partnership enables the FAW to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of its data, maximise its commercial returns and help grow Welsh football’s audience globally.
