Macau, CN (May 9, 2016) – As part of their marketing efforts in Macau during the G2E period at the Venetian Macau, IDN Play, an online game company focusing on software development and IT solutions for online gaming products, will be cooperating with Poker King Club for the first time ever to deliver the Macao Charity Poker Tournament. According to IDN Play:
“The tournament is a great way to bring our partners together under recreational circumstances, and to cultivate a sense of acquaintance between them. The funds from the re-entries for the event will also be donated to charity with a great cause”
As to why they ultimately chose poker as the mode of entertainment for their event, they had this to say:
“Poker is a very social game, so it was a natural choice for us to develop this tournament when we were considering what to do to bring together our partners. It is also a very good acquisition tool where the online and offline worlds easily collide”
The event will take place at the tournament area of Poker King Club at the Venetian Macau on May 17, 2016 and will be during the same period as the Global Gaming Expo that is also set in the hotel. The single-day event will be available for IDN Play’s affiliates and business partners exclusively. Initial buy-in for the tournament is free, with re-entries set at 500 HKD per entry. All proceeds from the re-entries will go to the Lar Nossa Senhora de Penha, a charity organization based in Macau. Prizes for the winners of the tournament will be provided by IDN Play. These include the following covetable items: a Rolex watch for the champion, a Tag Heuer watch for the second place spot, and an iPhone for the third place spot.
Macau’s gaming landscape and the demand for poker tournaments have been changing significantly during the last couple of years. More non-live poker companies have started to organize their own poker tournaments as a marketing effort, as well as a small sign of gratitude for their long-term following, business partners, and affiliates.
