YouStake Acquire TastyStakes; David Tuchman to Act as Brand Ambassador

Two of the largest staking platforms for live tournament poker have merged after YouStake announced the acquisition of TastyStakes. Former TastyStakes representative, David Tuchman, will feature as Brand Ambassador of the combined entities.

YouStake Acquire TastyStakes; David Tuchman to Act as Brand AmbassadorStaking is such an important cog in the poker machinery that it’s exciting to hear that staking platform YouStake has decided to reduce the competition by acquiring part of it.

YouStake – who calls itself the ‘first full-service sports staking and sponsorship platform’ – has announced the acquisition of the poker staking platform TastyStakes.com, with podcaster and World Series of Poker (WSOP) mic-holder David Tuchman installed in the role of brand ambassador for the newly merged outfit.

Both sites act as the intermediary between staker and backer to reduce the likelihood of fraudulent practice, and to take away the organizational pain points that both entities have to endure when dealing with these matters through a handshake.

At the start of the year, the former WSOP Main Event champion, Greg Raymer, used YouStake to sell $60,480 of his 2016 live action. 43 pledgers have a share of any money the Fossilman can hoover up at the tables. So far that amounts to not much after picking up $935 in cashes since securing the funding.

TastyStakes.com likes to be known as ‘Linkedin for tournament players.‘ The site is still operational with 152 packages up for grabs. WSOP bracelet winner, Chris Tryba, has a $47,971.25 WSOP package for sale, and former $10k WSOP H.O.R.S.E winner, Chris Wallace has a $105,623.75 WSOP package up for sale with $54,924.35 already booked. In the sidebar, Wallace told potential punters that each of his investors received ‘a personalized card and an actual piece of the bracelet in 2014.’

Tuchman was formerly of TastyStakes before being announced as brand ambassador. The former NFL commentator told PokerNews that ‘YouStakes was missing just a few ingredients’ and after acquiring TastyStakes they have ‘addressed those needs.’

YouStake hit the headlines at the turn of the year when they were successful in their application to join the startup accelerator outfit 500 Startups. It was the first time a company connected to poker had been chosen by the Silicon Valley operation to join their four-month accelerator program.

Global Poker League (GPL) stars Anthony Zinno, and Max Pescatori also use the YouStake platform. Zinno stamped his presence on the GPL yesterday with a win and runner-up spot in the first two matches. Anyone backing the Las Vegas Moneymakers star over the past few years would have had a few shillings returned. He won $3.7m last year alone.
