Wynn Resorts to open new poker room to attract younger playersWynn Las Vegas is moving its poker room to a bigger location to attract younger players.

Wynn Las Vegas announced Monday that its new 8,600-square-foot poker room next to the Encore Players Club, will open at the end of May.

The new Wynn poker room will include USB ports in each table, an individual Sports Book window and 65-inch television sets that will constantly stream real time sports and games.

There will be a separate room with four or five tables for high stakes poker players, according to Ryan Beauregard, recently named Wynn’s Director of Poker.

We are excited to introduce an enhanced poker room and look to create the ultimate poker gaming experience at the Wynn,” said Beauregard. “The new room will incorporate carefully selected amenities specific to poker players that will set Wynn Las Vegas apart as a poker destination.”

Beauregard said that the Wynn Resorts is investing heavily in technology to provide poker players with an experience that consistently exceeds their expectations. He also told PokerNews that the poker room could be a part of Steve Wynn’s bigger plans for Encore after the Ferrari dealership inside the casino closed last year.

The new room will open on May 26, just in time for the 47th World Series of Poker, which will run from May 31 to July 18 at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The casino’s current poker room will remain open to players between now and late May.
