CO-Gaming inks sponsorship deal with Liverpool FC

CO-Gaming inks sponsorship deal with Liverpool FCScandinavian online casino operator ComeOn! has announced a regional sponsorship agreement with famous British football club Liverpool FC that will run until the end of the 2015–2016 season.

“We’re delighted to be welcoming ComeOn! to what we believe is the world’s greatest football family,” said Billy Hogan, chief commercial officer at Liverpool FC.

The deal between ComeOn! and Liverpool is different from the setup it has with 188Bet as its official gaming provider. As part of the agreement between the two companies, ComeOn! now has the authority to advertise its tie up with Liverpool in a variety of media platforms in the Scandinavian countries of Norway, Sweden and Finland.

Liverpool is one of the most popular teams in that region, more popular even than many of the local powerhouse teams.

Paul Mykelbust, Norwegian spokesperson of ComeOn! echoed Hogan’s excitement about the partnership, calling it a unique agreement that will give the online casino operator exclusive rights that no other betting partner in Scandinavia will have.

“Not only will fans see exciting activations focused on Liverpool FC but they will also enjoy tickets to games at the famous Anfield stadium,” Myklebust added.

Liverpool’s business side has an exceptional transfer season. Its football side has been equally as active, although the returns of its spending frenzy will not be determined until the start of the Premier League season on August 18.

Star striker and master chomper Luis Suarez has been sold to Barcelona and in his place, the team has brought in a cavalcade of young talent that includes Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert from Southampton, Emre Can from Bayer Leverkusen, and Lazar Markovic from Benfica.

Manager Brendan Rogers expects to continue being an active buyer in the transfer market, possibly with an eye towards improving on the team’s 10/1 odds to win the English Premier League this coming season.
