Live Tournament Updates: Julian Track Leads EPT Prague Final Table

Live tournament updates as Julian Track leads a stacked final table at the European Poker Tour (EPT) Prague, Vanessa Selbst is amongst the leaders as the EPT High Roller reaches its final stages, WPT Korea is down to its final 10-players and Vasili Firsau leads WPT Prague going into Day 2.

The German, Julian Track, leads with 7,240,000 chips but it’s the people waiting in the wings that are destined to make the headlines in poker news outlets all over the world as the crescendo builds.

Ole Schemion has taken $3.5m out of this game, in just two years, and that includes big time tournament success in the Partouche Poker Tour (PPT) and the Masters Classic in Amsterdam. Schemion knows how to close these things down and is one of the favorites to send Julian off Track.

Stephen Chidwick is one of the most talented players in the game, and he’s on a hot streak to boot. This is Chidwick’s second Prague final table in a matter of days after finishing third in the €1,000 Eureka Poker Tour for $126,757. Both tournaments with fields in excess of 1,000 runners.

Max Silver is a former United Kingdom & Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) winner, World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) final tablist and the winner of two UKIPT High Roller events. Silver is another player who will have a big say in this final table.

Selbst Headlines the €10,000 EPT Prague High Roller

The EPT High Roller is down to its final 10-players and Vanessa Selbst is searching for her second EPT Prague victory after taking down an Pot-Limit Omaha (PLO) side event for $137,994 at the beginning of the series.

The Belarusian Dmitry Yurasov, who won a side event at EPT Barcelona this season, leads the event, and the likes of Olivier Busquet, Thomas Muhlocker, Max Heinzelmann, Jeff Rossiter and Mike McDonald are also taking up the slack.

The winner will walk away with $382,050.

The British Shine During Day 1C of bwin WPT Prague

It’s been a good day at Prague for the British contingent. As l alluded to earlier, Max Silver and Stephen Chidwick are flying the British flag at the EPT, and the boys from good old bllighty have been doing similar things at the WPT.

Kuljinder Sidhu leads Day 1C with 133,200 chips, but there was also excellent showings from Ryan Spittles (125,400) and Simon Deadman (97,200).

Outside of the UK Tim Reilly (124,000), Adrian Mateos (118,300), Andrea Benelli (117,300) and Fabrice Soulier (110,000) also had great a great day on the felt.

With late registration still open until the start of Day 2 there is still no final player number, or prize pool, but there have been 271 entrants thus far and the WPT Grand Prix de Paris runner-up Vasili Firsau leads the event with 167,700 chips with around 157 players remaining.

WPT Korea Down to 10

The inaugural WPT event in Korea drew 137 players and they have reached the final 10-players with Kosei Ichineese in the chip lead with 1,170,000 chips.

The field has largely been a local one and $100,000 awaits the winner.
