Another company that saw its balls come out was Scientific Games as they signed the Iowa Lottery Authority to a new instant ticket contract. The two-year deal got underway on January 1, 2013 and includes four further one-year options should the lottery want to extend. Jim Kennedy, President of Printed Products and Chief Marketing Officer for Scientific Games, added: “We are proud to be chosen by the Iowa Lottery once again and are confident the instant games we produce together will be fun and exciting, while maintaining the highest standards of security and integrity.”
Konami Gaming has come to an agreement with Hasbro Inc that will allow them to develop a range of Dungeons & Dragons branded slot machines. The agreement covers the design and manufacture of the machines and Steve Sutherland, chief operating officer at Konami Gaming, Inc., added: “Konami is very particular about the brands we choose to license. In Hasbro, we found a collaborative partner with a shared vision of product development. Therefore, we are excited about working with Hasbro to create gaming products that leverage the robust nature of Dungeon & Dragons and reflect the Konami brand.” Whether there is an online option in the future was not made clear at the time the deal was signed.
