Poker pro Phil Galfond has unleashed the poker landscape’s latest training site under the title RunItOnce.com. The training video site currently features Galfond, along with 19 other pros, as they aim to impart some of their wisdom to players of no-limit, PLO and tournaments. Pros are either categorized as “essential” or “elite” and the groups correspond to how much users pay each month to subscribe. For $9.99 per month users get all “essential” videos plus one for Grand Master Galfond himself. To access all of the “elite” videos as well will cost users $99.99 per month.
One of the USA’s most-popular made-for-TV poker offerings will be back in 2013 as the NBC Heads-Up Championship returns. POKER PROductions, the company that produces the program, tweeted yesterday that it will take place at Caesars Palace from January 24 to 26. It follows the first year in eight (2012) that it didn’t take place – something that can be attributed to Black Friday. The show features a $20,000 buy-in event that is primarily invite only and features a mix of poker pros, celebrities and a smattering of satellite winners. Eric Seidel bested the last event back in 2011 and took home a $750k prize.
