iPhone 5

iPhone 5Fans of Apple will be iPacking up their iTent and iSleepingbag at the latest iRumors starting to iEmerge. Reports on a number of sites suggest the next incarnation of the iPhone will be released in the first weeks of October. The new CEO of Apple, Tim Cook, is expected to announce details of the new handset at a media event on October 4th, according to All Things Digital that cites “sources familiar with the matter.”

The new device is expected to be available to more subscribers than ever before with the amount of carriers in the US increasing so that the device will be available to around 257million people. It’s thought that the device will be similar in aesthetics to the iPhone 4. Changes include an improved digital camera, new operating system, and aluminum back casing. The device will also be lighter and thinner than its predecessor.

Apple’s iPhone 5 will be the first time that one of their smart phones has began life with the new iOS 5 built in. It’s likely to be as smooth as ever with a wealth of new features such as iMessage, Notifications, Twitter Integration and a lot more besides. It’s not likely to make it so that they pass Android but it will help them to stay where they are already in the smart phone market

The news will interest those in the mobile gaming industry as much as anyone else. Developers currently see Apple’s devices as a step above anything made by Android due to the fact that more people than anyone else own Apple’s iPhone. A lack of Near Field Communication (NFC) technology may be the only thing that holds the firm back as the global payments market continues to evolve.
