Monaco iGaming Exchanges cancelled

monaco igaming exchanges 2011 james bondMonaco’s iGaming Exchanges has become the latest victim of the world recession as organizers have taken the move to cancel this year’s event. The second edition of the event, which was due to take place between 10th and 12th October, has blamed a lower than expected number of attendees as the reason for the cancellation.

A statement on the conference website states the following:

MiE is confronted with the harsh consequences of a frustrating economic development encountered by the online Gaming & Betting industry in Europe. This has been translated by a lower number of registrations compared to our estimates.

Therefore, by respect for our partners and registered participants surely to be disappointed by an unsatisfying MiE level of attendance, we have taken the decision to cancel the 2011 edition.

The tablog covered the inaugural conference last year and the tablog team had been looking forward to being James Bond for a few days for the second year running. There is no word yet if an event will go ahead next year.
