Players received a notification from PokerStars.fr advising them that the French gaming regulatory authority ARJEL had temporarily suspended its Home Games for an undetermined period.

ARJEL runs the show, and they want to make sure everyone is line with their standards. So PokerStars Homes Games in France will remain offline pending an investigation of the system by online gaming regulator ARJEL to ensure player security.

Home Games is one of the game breaking products that PokerStars has rolled out in 2011. It’s unique in that it allows users to create private poker parties between members of a poker club or with friends. The Club Manager is able to have a unique Club ID and a password that they can give to their friends for access to the private tournaments and cash games. It’s all very cool and innovative stuff. The company launched this new product alongside a promotional campaign to draw attention to their new software.

PokerStars says that ARJEL has undertaken a system analysis to ensure PokerStars.fr’s compliance with French law.
