This isn’t the first time Mayweather has tweeted his winning ways, having bragged about collecting $36k from another NBA bet on Christmas Day 2010. What we’re wondering is how often Mayweather comes out on the losing side of that equation, or is he, like his ring record, undefeated? We somehow doubt the M Resort would still be taking his wagers if he’s as dependably on the ‘money’ as Billy Walters.
Meanwhile, Pacquiao is still showing signs of being thoroughly interested in boxing. While his upcoming bout against Shayne Mosley already sold 16k tickets in the first three hours of going on sale, Manny is scheduled to arrive in Los Angeles on Feb. 9 to promote the fight. From there he travels on to San Francisco, New York and Washington, where the Philippines congressman may even get a visit with US President Obama. Mayweather met Obama in 2007, but that was before Floyd’s very public problems with the law made his presence toxic for any politician seeking reelection. Could the sight of Congressman Pacman shaking the President’s hand be enough to stir Mayweather’s pride and get him to sign on to fight Manny? We’ll keep an eye on Mayweather’s Twitter feed…
