ice-show-news-round-upWhen arriving in the centre of the iGaming universe, London, for this month’s ICE show, you can’t imagine that most attendees are looking forward to the historical aspects of the gaming conference. The majority will be networking as if their life depended on it and then also “networking” at the evening parties as well. One German exhibitor is gambling on there being an interest in the historical aspect of the casinos at his stand.

Stand 3401 will feature ISA Guide, a German-language gaming & gambling Internet platform. Journalist and editor-in-chief of the site is Reinhold Schmitt, who will use the show to launch his new project, which is a collection of over 3,000 jetons from 15 different countries.

“My jetons remind me of different times and places I’ve visited throughout my career in the casino business. Of course, some currencies no longer exist, like the Franc, Deutsche Mark and the Peseta, so this gives you a feeling of yesteryear and what the industry was like before the Euro,” Schmitt said

He added: “I really must thank casino owners from Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Austria and the United States for their generous contributions to my collection. Without their help, it wouldn’t be possible.”

Elsewhere, server-based gaming specialists Inspired Gaming Group are going to be presenting their newest electronic roulette machine at the show. “Multi-Win Roulette 4.0” will operate on the new “Sabre” slant top cabinet and gives the player the live casino experience whilst still sitting in front of an HD cabinet.

Lee Gregory, Managing Director for Casino and Bingo at Inspired, said: “Inspired remains dedicated to increasing incomes for casino operators around the world with our trusted electronic gaming products and we know from extensive research that our new Multi-Win Roulette 4.0 will be an instant hit with players. Commercially competitive on price and bursting with new features, it’s a leap forward in innovation to seek out at the show.”

So if it’s historical information or the newest in server-based gaming machines that you’re after, the ICE show will cater to the needs of everyone present – even if it’s just the DAF award that you’re after!
