Derbies r’us in tonight’s Premier League action

welcome-to-manchesterIt looks as though Stoke’s masterplan involving Mark Clattenburg worked last night as they earned their first win since the charge of the light brigade. Tony Pulis’ men earned a 3-2 victory over Birmingham, Tottenham and Sunderland sharing a 1-1 draw in the night’s other game. That’s the sideshow done then, and now it’s onto tonight’s main course. Two derby games immediately jump out at the you from the list of fixtures for tonight, the fiercest taking place at Eastlands.

Man City welcome cross-city rivals United to their sky blue cauldron, the visitors still unbeaten in the league this season. Earlier this year Paul Scholes broke the hearts of City fans everywhere with an injury time winner that condemned the home side to a 1-0 loss, this time may be different though. If you thought that day was “laugh out loud” funny, then what could better it? How about Carlos Tevez scoring then jumping into the wrong set of fans? Even better would be if Fergie were to put up the board for time added on himself and the officials to do nothing about it.

The night’s other derby is in West London, Bodog sponsored Fulham visiting champions Chelsea. The valiant warrior Didier Drogba will be battling through a bout of malaria to take the field for the champions and the other players had better hope it’s not contagious.
