First time WPT entrant Jeff Forrest takes Foxwoods crown

jeff-forrest-WPT-foxwoodsThe six final tablers at the WPT Foxwoods World Poker Finals took an interminable 200 hands to establish a winner, but World Poker Tour novice Jeff Forrest ultimately prevailed, taking home $548k for his troubles. In addition to his title, Forrest earned a $25k seat at the WPT Championship at the Bellagio in May.

Despite taking a long time to get down to head to head action, it took just 10 hands for Forrest to relegate Dave Inselberg to second place. Inselberg, who qualified for Foxwoods via a $250 satellite, can only be too crushed at having spun that $250 into $325k. The rest of the final table cashed out thusly: Thomas Marchese $211k; Nikolai Yakovenko $170k; Keven Stammen $128k; Mohsin Charania $104k.
