IT provider 2e2 granted Alderney license

TAGs: 2e2, Alderney, Guernsey

2e2-Alderney-LicenseThe Alderney Gambling Control Commission has granted a license to IT services company 2e2 to host online gaming clients from their data center in Guernsey. The Alderney gaming overseers have been extremely popular of late, having granted a category 2 license to Sweden’s Net Entertainment just last week, and Austrian service provider Greentube announced its eagerness to go Alderney’s way the week before that.

Not wanting to get left behind in the race for Channel Islands ‘who’s the fairest’ bragging rights, Jersey is looking at ways to expand its own egaming industry. Chris Evans, CEO of the island’s largest data center Foreshore, has long been a champion of creating a welcoming legislative framework to attract online gaming companies. “Although it’s very similar in profile to finance, it will bring work to the legal services sector, accounting services sector, my sector which is the IT and data hosting. So it’s an all round economic benefit.” Now kiss me, you fool!
