Stung Rays in ALDS

The Tampa Bay Rays were the second most favored team by sportsbooks to win the AL Championship. The Rangers were more of a long shot. Right now, that’s looking backwards and the bettors who picked the Rangers in the beginning of the season after Nolan Ryan damn near guaranteed his team would be super legit, are licking their chops.

The Rangers have jumped all over the Rays in the ALDS and they’ve taken a strangle hold on the series up 2-0 heading back to Texas. The Rays bats have gone completely cold, they haven’t been able to muster any type of offense and they’ve made the Rangers starting pitchers C.J Wilson and Cliff Lee look like Hall of Famers.

After getting drubbed 6-0 today in Game 2, the Rays are on the verge of pissing 6 months of stellar baseball down the tubes in a sweep at the hands of the Texas Rangers. I bet they wish they didn’t win the division and are playing the Twins instead. Especially since the Twins haven’t won a post-season game in their last ten tries. Somewhere some old Yankee fan is saying “Sometimes when you win you lose, and when you lose you really win”.
