Bodog.com World Grand Prix draw made

TaylorBodog.com earlier this month agreed to become title sponsors to one of the premier events in the lads sporting calendar, the World Grand Prix darts, taking place in Dublin in three weeks time.

Today marked the draw for the tournament, everyone aiming to beat the overwhelming favourite, and number one in the Order of Merit, Phil “The Power” Taylor. In terms of the seeded players, most of them are looking at fairly straightforward first round matches, however, a surprise could come when the sixth seeded Aussie Simon Whitlock, takes on fellow countryman Paul Nicholson.

The draw is as follows (seeds in brackets):

Phil Taylor (1) v Brendan Dolan
Andy Smith v Jamie Caven
Ronnie Baxter (8) v Gary Anderson
Kevin Painter v Mark Dudbridge
Terry Jenkins (5) v Vincent van der Voort
Adrian Lewis v Alan Tabern
Mervyn King (4) v Wayne Jones
Steve Brown v Steve Farmer
Raymond van Barneveld (2) v John MaGowan
Denis Ovens v Mark Walsh
Colin Lloyd (7) v Wes Newton
William O’Connor v Barrie Bates
Simon Whitlock (6) v Paul Nicholson
Dennis Priestley v Andy Hamilton
James Wade (3) v Mick McGowan
Colin Osborne v Co Stompe.

As we know the tournament will be broadcast on Sky Sports HD from October 4th to 10th, and without any further ados…LETS PLAY DARTS!
