It took PokerStars nine years to deal its 25 billionth hand. It dealt another 15 billion hands in the next 368 days, eclipsing the 40 billion milestone in February of this year. Now, a mere seven months later, it’s closing in on the 50 billion mark. At this rate, there’s a risk that the poker playing public will get a bit blasé about these accomplishments, so PokerStars has cooked up a promotion that will see it distributing $1M to its players in the run-up to the big Five-O. Congrats to PokerStars for setting these milestones, but let’s hope some of this bonus money was derived from the company ditching some dead weight off its payroll.
