Over the past two weeks, Facebook games have been on something of a downward trend. While still ranked #1, Zynga’s Farmville has fallen from its 84M ‘monthly active users’ peak of last March to a mere 62M. Three other Zynga products, Frontierville, Mafia Wars and Café World, have respectively lost 2.2M, 2.7M and 1.8M users over just the past 14 days. Non-Zynga games, such as Mindjolt, Pet Society and Bejeweled Blitz, also saw numbers droop over the same period.
Meanwhile, like a vigorous and extremely horny salmon, Zynga’s Texas HoldEm Poker swam against the current and gained 1.6M players over the past two weeks, upping its total monthly active user base to some 34.5M.
