As more and more governments start looking to ring-fence their gambling markets, they are leaning on local internet service providers to ferret out any digital interlopers. And as ISPs are discovering, these governmental ‘requests’ for compliance are increasingly starting to resemble demands, accompanied by implied or explicit threats of financial penalties and/or imprisonment.
