The Doncaster-based company raises funds for non-profit organisations such as sports clubs, schools and universities and will now provide a full package of online gaming products to Middlesbrough in addition to operating a lottery for the club under its FC Lotto created especially for the football market.
The multi-year contract follows the initial signings of fellow second-tier sides Leicester City, Coventry City and Derby County alongside League One team Sheffield Wednesday.
“Middlesbrough is known as a well run and ambitious club,” said said Tim Razzall, Chairman for The Weather Lottery.
“The club has an important place in the community and attracts considerable and very loyal support. In signing this contract, The Weather Lottery is, I believe, establishing an important presence in the market.”
“Once again we are delighted to become the online gaming and lottery partner and look forward to a successful and profitable relationship to the benefit of Middlesbrough and its fans.”
