The widespread surprise in Birmingham has today given way to wild speculation as to who will replace Martin O’Neill as Aston Villa boss, the Northern Irishman quitting after a transfer row with the club’s ownership. Names in the frame include Croatian boss Slaven Bilic, US national team gaffer Bob Bradley, and, perhaps unsurprisingly, Sven-Goran Eriksson.
