A professional footballer who was on the books with Millwall has been given life imprisonment for killing a man in north-west London in a tit-for-tat gang-related incident. I know that footballers aren’t the sharpest tools in the box but the tragedy here is that Gavin Grant had the talent to get out of the slums and he wasted it with this act of gratuitous violence.
