On July 20th, hundreds of employees of Costa Rica-based online gambling operations are planning to march on the country’s Legislative Assembly to voice their displeasure at the government’s plan to impose a tax on their employers. The tax, which is to be used to combat the country’s rampant crime problems, is expected to raise $110M/year, an amount the Betting Employees Association says is excessive and will result in massive layoffs.
