Resort-style casinos coming to Massachusetts?

Has the last stake been driven into the heart of the Puritan legacy? The virulently anti-gambling folks who landed on Plymouth Rock must be rolling over in their graves at the news that the Massachusetts Senate has (after eight days of debate) passed legislation allowing three resort-style casinos in the state.
