After surprises in the women’s quarter-final yesterday, today it’s the turn of the men. Lu Yen-hsun shocked Andy Roddick in the last round and will be aiming to inflict similar medicine on Novak Djokovic, for the right to meet Roger Federer in the final (well, he won’t lose to Tomas Berdych, will he?).

Andy Murray is the only player left yet to lose a set so far this Wimbledon and he will fancy his chances against the unpredictable Wilfred Tsonga, even though he might drop a set on the way. But it’s the remaning quarter-final between Rafael Nadal and Robin Soderling that could provide the upset of the round.

Soderling is beginning to measure up to the big boys these days, reaching the French Open final this year, where he lost to Nadal. However, he has won two of his last three Tour meetings with the Spaniard, who required five sets to get past the Swede – a top-price 7/5 shot with Bodog – the last time they clashed at Wimbledon in 2007.
