Female poker stars get nominations, sign deals, fall shortThis is by no means an attempt at ‘ghettoizing’ all the female poker player news into one hermetically sealed off ‘get thee to a nunnery’ quadrant, but there’s just a lot of it happening all at once, so here goes… Seven nominees (including Annie Duke, Jennifer Harman and Kathy Liebert) have been announced for the two spots reserved for this year’s Women in Poker Hall of Fame. Elsewhere, Vanessa Rousso has inked an endorsement deal with energy drink company EQ Labs, while actress/model/writer Claire Renault has signed with 888 Poker. Meanwhile, Annette Obrestad seems out to confirm her own blinkered hypothesis that female poker players aren’t up to scratch by falling short of her goal of winning event #39 at the WSOP.
