Online poker companies should emulate Red Bull’s DIY approach

Online poker outfits often run into difficulties when they try to engage in marketing relationships with other companies. For instance, Full Tilt’s relationship with Virgin Racing is running on flat tires in some jurisdictions, as its relationship with an Aussie rugby team, and even Nevada casinos are telling Pokerstars to get out of town. So why don’t these guys adopt the Red Bull DIY attitude — as in, if (for example) sports leagues think they’re too damn ‘special’ to be associated with your product, then invent your own damn sports — like Rampage, Crashed Ice, and Dolomitenmann.
