Canadian football players play under natural light, panic ensues

B.C. Place, the domed stadium in which the 2010 Winter Olympics’ big showpiece ceremonies were held, is currently undergoing a half-billion dollar renovation, thus the local Canadian Football League team (B.C. Lions) is being forced to play this season’s games (shudder) outdoors at their old stadium at Empire Field. This has produced a certain nostalgia in some older sportswriters, while younger ones express either mild amusement or latent hostility at having to carry sunblock with them on game days and the way this ‘wind’ thing messes up their hair.
