Betclic boss sees a future with only 3-4 betting outfits in Europe

Interesting ‘survival of the fattest’ predictions being made at the EGR Live CEO Panel this week. Nicolas Beraud, head of Mangas Gaming (parent company of Betclic), says that Germany, Spain and Denmark will be the next markets to follow France’s lead and ‘liberalize’ gaming, but the hurdles a company must leap to gain official permission to operate in those markets will be so high that only the largest companies will have sufficient resources to get over them. In Beraud’s view, this will lead to increased consolidation, until there are only a handful of operators serving the entire continent. Hell, why stop there?
