They’re calling it the largest scam job ever by a lottery insider in Canadian history, just how big was it? Try $5.7 million big. Hafiz Malik a 62 year old convenience store worker scammed a lady out of a $5.7 million lottery ticket back in 2004. He told her she’d won only $10. He later claimed the winning ticket as his own, sold his store bought a big house and lived the dream. But Karma has a way of tracking people down and he’s now been sentenced to jail time. Funny how that happens, he’s now going from his big house to the Big House where I’m sure he’ll make a fine wife. Hope he enjoyed those three years as a millionaire.
