Well, at least it wasn’t another sweep. Phoenix, as many thought they would, found their balls and untucked their skirts and competed against the LA Lakers. The Suns didn’t allow the Lakers to score at will and the Phoenix defense that stymied San Antonio seemed to return to form. Actually, Phoenix conceded they couldn’t guard anybody straight up and went to a zone, and the Lakers shot themselves out of the game, but at least Amare Stoudemire showed up. Can Phoenix take two in the desert? They better, they don’t look competitive in LA, but game four will be even tougher as the Lakers would love to take one on the road and be heading home to close out the series. Read more.
