The UK may be in the midst of political and financial turmoil but the bookmakers are more than happy to keep fiddling while Rome, or rather, London burns. If a coalition government between the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats isn’t agreed soon then stability-seeking investors will move on, abandoning the good ship Blighty to steer a lonely course towards the eye of a financial hurricane.
