While the proposed legislative framework may serve to benefit the Danish government, some feel the new law will do more harm than good. The skepticism arises from the potentially negative effect the law will have on medium to small gaming operators. With the Danish government having both hands in the pockets of medium to small operators and sticking them for a huge up front license fee, it eliminates any opportunity for these smaller businesses to develop viable business plan.
