After scouring the state legislature’s basement for some century-old statute that would allow them to sue a gambling operator for someone else’s losses, the state of Kentucky has confirmed that they have no intent of ever returning any of those recovered funds to the people who actually lost them. A representative from the governor’s office told ABC News that “any losses that would be recovered would go to the commonwealth on behalf of its citizens, so an individual would not receive those funds.” Cha-ching!
