The Rosecroft Raceway in Maryland is hoping to morph into a ‘racino’ by adding casino games to its offerings, and on the recommendation of consultants from the Innovation Group, the focus will be on two specific games – mini-baccarat and pai gow poker – as they have particular appeal to Asian gamblers. While Asians make up only 6.5% of the surrounding area’s population, the consultants claim they are so attracted to these types of games, that they will account for one quarter of projected revenues.
