Ontario to offer shares in gambling ‘super corporation’?

SuperOntarioOntario Lottery and Gaming Corporation’s new chairman Paul Godfrey recently mused aloud about the province selling off the Crown corp., and now we have more details. Seems the plan is to bundle the gaming biz with other provincial assets such as Hydro One and and the Liquor Control Board to create a $50-60B ‘super corporation’ in which the private sector would be able to purchase a minority stake. Given the rampant fraud associated with the OLG in recent years, we suggest all investors sign the back of their stock certificates immediately after purchase. Read more.
