China’s ongoing crackdown on online ‘vulgarity’

JackieChanChina may be a land of gaming opportunity but that hasn’t stopped it from employing ten or more government agencies in a coordinated effort to curtail ‘vulgar’ internet content, including gaming. And since China has twice as many mobile phone users than internet users, the gov’t is also enlisting telecom firms to monitor wireless application protocol mobile sites and ‘shut down payment gateways’.
