ElectronicShuffleAs electronic card shuffling machines become more prevalent at land-based casinos, questions are being raised as to whether these machines could be manipulated to tip the statistical odds in favor of the house. Interestingly, in the US, state regulatory bodies are empowered to ensure the devices are on the up-and-up, but casinos on cruise ships aren’t subject to any kind of oversight whatsoever. So in addition to crap food, bland entertainment and the omnipresent threat of contracting the Norwalk virus, cruise ships offer the risk of having some wannabe T-1000 deal you cards from the bottom of the deck.
